Two days before we are to leave...takes some of us hours to understand that 9:30 at the airport would mean someone would have to be actually picked up BEFORE 9:30.

Five Star Uber driver Ken picked us all up bright and early this morning and surprisingly managed to fit all of our luggage in! Checked our bags, reunited with EL, and zipped through security line, well, almost zipped through. One of us, Herta got stopped because of very suspicious pound cake and Irish soda bread. We were soon ensconced in the United Club, but were a little disappointed as their food choices were somewhat meager( so meager in fact, that the Bubblegirls didn't need any baggies), but the extra champagne in the Mimosas more than compensated for it! 
Most of us boarded the plane, but Herta refused to board without shoppers, EL and Nancy. Which meant KW could also not board without her roomie, giving her plenty of time to become BFF's with United agent who went to Addison Trail. Now the seating arrangements on the plane left a little something to be desired...Nancy, Les and HM in Row 8. EL, Kw and Herta in Row 9. There were just a couple of issues...the Row 9 group included Deaf and Deafer, so we may have gotten a few "shhhhhh's" from row 8. Another slight problem was Herta refused to pull down the shade on the window resulting in EL and Kw being blinded for the duration of the flight. Herta was also showing off her fancy German speaking skills and insisted on changing her screen display to German, then asking us for help, which we could not provide because of our non existent fluency in German and also our not being able to see!! And BTW here are a few things we found out about Herta... she hates babies, she had a headache the other morning and believes she has a brain tumor, she has no idea what Kw's name is and refers to her as "Annette, Helen, whatever your name is." Leslie was reprimanded by the flight attendant for not being prepared for landing, but was not kicked off future flights. Arrived in Tampa and loaded up the rental car with all our luggage. Naturally we had to stop at Sam's and Publix to fill up any remaining space in our vehicle. Got to condo to discover elevator was not working so had fun lugging luggage to 1st floor, and taking elevator to penthouse. That's not so bad, right????Jokes on you because this entire week has been an episode of "The Elevator Roulette Games." More to come...
After we unpacked EL and Leslie headed out to Sugar Wings to pick up dinner. Elevator was working just fine on the way down, but when they returned it was completely out of order. EL and Les had to walk up eight flights!! At least dinner was delicious and enabled us to play a fun game called, "Where are the Peanuts?" After dinner we sat around laughing and playing Golf. EL was already to go to bed in her own bedroom when she heard a little squeak and had to jump into bed with HM!! Hope EL brought her flannel Jammie's. Now we had been discussing bats earlier, so we'll see what happens...
Wednesday April 30th
Woke up to a beautiful Indian Shores morning. Spent a lovely day on the beach and in the ocean. Continued playing Elevator Roulette.
Went to Doc Ford's for dinner. Had a minor incident when Les scraped the post in the garage. Good thing dinner was delicious with one of our favorite desserts-Drunken Carrot Cake.
Another glorious day spent at the beach. Herta and EL continue to find pretty seashells, Hm enjoys the sunshine, and Leslie and Nancy frolic in the ocean while KW remains on shark patrol!For dinner we went to Salt Rock for an interesting dining experience. Seemed a bit odd, but server delivered salads and starters before beverages and then totally overcharged HM and EL. Come to find out she's Sean's sister...
After dinner we went to Saint John's Pass which has new meaning if you can guess what was"passed" there!

Found out Annette and HM have a new baby in their lives, so a heartfelt welcome to baby Macy or is it Maisy?? Went over to visit Eileen and Robbie at their condo with Nancy and Leslie wearing matching dresses. Naturally we had to stop at The Orange Store to pick up some treats and a sales clerk upon seeing them asked Nancy if she sewed and had made them. So good to see our dear friend, Eileen and also of course, sweet Robbie. Seriously it was a lovely visit. Spent some time in their beautiful pool with EL leading us in water aerobics. Ironically when we weren't exercising we were sneaking potato chips right under the NO FOOD IN POOL area sign. Leslie was given one job and one job only which was to keep KW from having any more chips. Spoiler alert...she failed miserably. After our visit we went to Cristino's for a delicious Italian dinner, then headed back to Eileen's for dessert and another wonderful visit. Hated saying goodbye.

We were not lucky with Elevator Roulette this morning and had to walk down 8 flights of stairs to get to the water. Thankfully no defibrillators were required. Waves were a little rough today, but still a beautiful beach day. Good thing KW was on shark alert because she spotted a baby great white.
Now it was dead, washed up on the beach, only 2feet long and probably not even a great white, but those are only minor details! Lady Luck was on our side and elevator was back in order for our ride up. Woohoo! Went for an early dinner at E & E where it had to be 47°. So frigid that even HM was cold. Good thing they turned the AC down a bit.
Food was delicious and after eating we went to Beals to walk around after dinner. Herta was in her glory and wanted to see everything. Since it was Derby Day , we returned to condo to play the Horse racing game, with EL and HM being the big winners. And BTW, EL was also the big winner of our Kentucky Derby Pool. Next we played "Reverse Charades" which had us laughing until we cried. Once again we were lucky enough to have Leslie demonstrate her mad skipping skills to us. There truly are no words. Helen was overheated and had to use one of her 3 fans!
We laughed so hard that we even meditated to try to quiet down. Not terribly effective.

Today was our big Tarpon Springs outing with a fun shopping stop in Dunedin. 
Enjoyed walking around the charming little town and enjoyed our Greek meal in tarpon Springs even more. And no, Hellas did not have KW's missing sunglasses from last year.
Stopped for delicious ice cream at the Dairy Barn and thankfully no bathroom emergencies.

Went back to condo to enjoy the sunset and then more games and snacks! Leslie was pretty excited when she thought she was going to ruin Nancy's chances of "shooting the moon" and aggressively threw down the queen of spades while shouting, "Bam!" Too bad spades was not trump.

Happy Cinco de Mayo to all! EL and Nancy were delighted by an early morning dolphin show off the lanai. The rest of us may have been still sleeping. Such a beautiful day and since it was our last, we decided to pull out the beach umbrella and spend the entire day on the beach. Thank you, Leslie, for taking care of that!
Ordered take-out and then went for another walk on the beach. Returned to the condo for more fun, games, and laughs.

Didn't think it was possible to have an even prettier day than yesterday and yet here we are.
Makes it even worse because sadly we have to leave today. Leslie may have been a little bitter. Packed up, waited for sheets to dry and headed to airport.

At our gate Bubble girl HM did manage to resurface and asked us if we could bring our beverages (that we had just bought) on the plane with us. Highlight of our flight was Row 9 getting free champagne. Sorry, Row 8. Arrived back at O'Hare and had to bid a sad farewell to EL. Uber driver extraordinaire was there to pick us up and take us home. Thank you, Ken. And a huge thank you to our host Nancy for a wonderful and memorable week. We loved seeing EK, but wished it could have been longer. Annette was also dearly missed. In closing, we are so incredibly blessed to be a part of each others' lives. #foreverbesties
